Additional Course Information
Accelerated flight courses require considerable planning to ensure the availability of aircraft, instructors and an examiner. So please make your training reservation as far in advance as possible. A minimum one week advance reservation is greatly appreciated.
SkyVenture Aviation, Inc. takes great pride in arranging all the details concerning your training. It will be our pleasure to make your hotel and/or rental car reservations for you. Discounted hotel rates are available at nicer hotels near our training bases. Let us know if you have any special needs or requests.
Multi Engine “Time-building”
Solo Multi Engine aircraft rental is available to qualified pilots and many graduates of our Multi Engine training courses.
Certain pilot qualifications, pilot experience, and pilot currency must be met prior to solo rental. An Aircraft Flight Check (Proficiency Flight) with a flight instructor employed by SkyVenture Aviation, Inc. is required prior to solo rental of any specific make and model of aircraft, regardless of pilot experience. If an aircraft is rented by more than one pilot (cost sharing) any pilot acting as Pilot in Command (PIC) must meet the appropriate pilot experience requirements.
All aircraft rentals are subject to a three-hour daily minimum (per 24-hour period) for overnight or cross-country rental. Prices are wet rental rates (fuel is included). Maximum per-gallon fuel reimbursement for fuel purchased off-site cannot exceed the current retail 100 LL Avgas price at home-base airport from which the aircraft is rented (Jonesboro, AR or Fayetteville, AR). Prices do not include applicable sales taxes.
The current ‘block rate” for a Piper Seneca rental is $240.00 per hour based on a minimum, pre-paid purchase of ten or more hours.
Solo Multi Engine aircraft rental is subject to availability. Please call or email for more information.
Important Notes:
- All aircraft rentals include fuel. No sales taxes are applied to flight instruction fees, or to aircraft rentals incident to “dual” flight lessons or checkrides.
- Payment for an accelerated course is due upon arrival.
- Accelerated training course reservations must be secured with a major credit card.
- A cancellation fee of $300 will be charged for cancellations given with less than 72 hours notice.
- Warranty: The training courses listed above are not “guaranteed courses”. You must reach the level of proficiency stipulated by the applicable FAA Practical Test Standards (PTS). While experience has shown the number of hours of training offered in each of the courses to be sufficient for most pilots, it should be recognized that experience and proficiency levels can vary widely among individual pilots. This is particularly true of instrument flying proficiency. Therefore, if additional training hours are required to reach proficiency, the following rates will apply: Seneca rental, $248.00 per hour. Elite BATD, $37.50 per hour. Ground or flight instruction, $40 per hour.
- Refunds: Unused funds, except no-show cancellation fees, are refundable upon completion of the course or at such time the course is terminated early for any reason. If the course is terminated at the student’s request prior to completion of at least 10 flight hours, normal aircraft rental rates and instruction fees will apply for the actual aircraft rental and instruction received.
- Prices are subject to change without notice. However, once payment has been received for a course, the prices may not be increased provided the training is completed within 60 days of the payment.
- Unless otherwise stated, the following are NOT included in the pricing of the above listed courses: Ground Instruction, $40 per hour (typically 3-5 hours of ground instruction may be needed in preparation for the Checkride); pilot supplies such as charts, Aircraft POH, view limiting device, etc; Designated Pilot Examiner Fees; lodging and transportation.
